China Glaze On Safari collection: Jungle Queen

Quick post.
Anyway, I'm likely to re-do this one.
Not exactly happy about the way the pictures turned out.

The last of the China Glaze On Safari collection that I got,
Jungle Queen

2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite

Think Chanel Paradoxal.
I'm definitely going to compare these 2 together.

But yeah, same idea.
Non-existent shimmer on nails
but there in the damn bottle.

Last picture is again the taxi shot

Finally.
This damn collection is done.

China Glaze On Safari collection: Man Hunt

Finally. Sunshine!

China Glaze Man Hunt.
Heh. The name gives me giggles.

2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite
Blame it on a Monday morning.
But I had trouble deciding between whether this one's a jelly or a creme.

It was only at 3:37pm
(Yeah. I was staring at the clock when the lightbulb went off)
that this was a crelly.
You know. That new term?
(which polish blogs are fond of coming up with)
Creme + Jelly = Crelly
Well. At least I think it's a crelly.
I admit. I'm not the best person at telling such textures apart.
They love to befuddle me.

Anyway, that aside,
colour wise, I think many of you are going to think this dupish again.
I do think there are some close ones.
I'll get them compared soon.

Oh! and I almost forgot!
These didn't stain!
I was worried that they would,
especially after that fiasco with Exotic Encounters,
I was seriously worried that Man Hunt would add on to the damage,
but NaDah! Nope! None at all!

Last 2 pictures are for you Natalie!
The I-shot-these-in-the-cab pictures again =)

Alright! One last one to go!
The sun better be there tomorrow!

Peripera Mod Green vs OPI Mermaid Tears

Again, the weather is gloomy and rainy,
so I have to interrupt the On Safari postings
since I can't  get pictures.

Today's post is one that was a request and already done.
However, the On Safari polishes came in
so this got sidelined.

Peripera Mod Green vs OPI Mermaid Tears

Middle and Pinky: Peripera Mod Green
Index and Ring: OPI Mermaid Tears

2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite for all.

As you can tell,
major differences in tones.

I love both the polishes.
Except right now,
they seemed to have added on to the staining that was caused by Exotic Encounters.
Blergh.

China Glaze On Safari collection: I Herd That

Ok. Prayers answered.
The sun came out for like about 5 minutes.
Just enough time for me to grab the bottle, camera,
and run down for these few shots.

All I managed before the rain came thundering down.
Phew!

China Glaze I Herd That
2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite

Same deal with the other glitter in this collection,
easy peasy application
and 2 coats of TC should smoothen out the gritty texture.
I was just being conservative with my TC.
I seem to run through TCs pretty damn quick.

Ok. The way I see it,
China Glaze decided that there shall be one cool-toned and one warm-toned glitter
so all the glitter 'hores out there would be satisfied.

This one's mainly gold and orange/copper glitter.
I think there is some smattering of the holographic kind of glitter,
but on the nails,
it's kinda over powered by the gold-orange/copper ones.

Still pretty,
but for some reason,
I find I'm Not Lion more sparkly (sparklier? Is there such a word?) than I Herd That.

Mini Nail Mail

My apologies.
It was gloomy yesterday and I couldn't get any decent shots of the next On Safari glitter,
so no  new swatches yet.
I'm really hoping that the sun would come out to play later.

So in the meantime,
let me just entertain you with more nail mail that came in:

Sinful Colors Green Ocean
Sally Hansen Glass Slipper
I've been lusting after these two for the longest time.

China Glaze Ultamate Holiday
(which looks amazing by the way)
and China Glaze First Mate

Thank you Chelsy for the ROAK!

The first bottles of my I-panicked-and-bought-a-bunch-of-Ozotics haul has also arrived:
#529 and #532

By the way,
I forgot to make the blog purge announcement.
It'll be scheduled on 31 May at Sg 9 am

*Goes back to pray for sun*

China Glaze On Safari collection: Exotic Encounters

Quick post.
I'm not feeling good.

China Glaze Exotic Encounters

2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite

Highly likely there are dupes for this one.
I just haven't had the time to look.

Still, I have to admit,
I do like the colour.

And application was like butter.

Only word of caution:
This one stains.

China Glaze On Safari collection: I'm Not Lion

One of the glitters in this collection:

China Glaze I'm Not Lion
Well, I seriously hope China Glaze doesn't go the way of OPI in naming their polishes...

2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite

This one wasn't as TC hungry as I thought it might be.
2 coats of Seche Vite should do the trick of eliminating any gritty feeling.

I really like this one, real pretty.
Champagne + holographic glitter

I'm pretty sure this one's champagne gold.
However, when I was making my purchase for this one,
the sales person kept calling this a silver.

And she sounded so convinced that it's a silver,
I didn't dare contradict her or say anything otherwise.

Ok. I figured a vid might just show you how awesome sparkly this one is.
